4Works Good.  Jun 27, 2010
By T. Monk
This has been a great rice maker. Does everything you want it to. My wife is Korean and she says it works fine (she has high standards). I wish the pot inside was thicker, and the non-stick coating was more durable too.

5Great Product!  Feb 25, 2012
By Luke
This was our first rice cooker that was over $30 and it is great so far. Two things that really stood out over our old cheap one:
- It plays a little song when the rice is done! You never need to guess if its done or not.
- It has a detailed chart for every rice imaginable which is extremely helpful if you don't just buy standard white and brown rice

Overall great product.

5Fast service  Aug 30, 2010
By Ronald E. Ball Sr.
Very fast service. Ordered one day cooker came the next day. That's
hard to believe but it true. We had other Zojirushi rice cookers.
This one was for a gift to a family memeber. They like it and would
hope other people could have one. The price was great too. Amazon
has many more items from Zojirushi to look at. So if your in need
on a Japanese rice cooker stop by Amazon and look for the one you
want.I'm sure the price will be lower then the store.

3Non-stick Coating Scratched Upon Arrival  Oct 03, 2008
By J. Dai
I ordered the rice cooker. When I opened the packaging, I found there were a lot of scratches on the bottom of the non-stick coated pan already! It might be caused by the free-moving plastic cups in the pan due to the poor packaging design by the manufacturer. I therefore had some doubts about the quality of the product since their packaging seems cheap and not much thought to it. I decided to return the rice cooker to Amazon. Fortunately Amazon handled the return smoothly.

1They used a type of plastic on inner lid that is noxious to me  Dec 26, 2010
By Petzl
The inner lid is made of a type of malleable plastic (vinyl?) that, for me, makes this a non-starter.
I've no interest in making rice that will be steeped in this smell and no doubt reek of it.
I'm a owner of a previous Zojirushi so I'm a fan of the company, but this particular model
is impossible for me to use. The exact piece I'm referring to is a grey "stopper" in the
center of the removable top lid. Perhaps it's my genetics that I'm sensitive to this plastic,
perhaps it was a bad batch of that part (seems unlikely their quality control could go that
wrong though). In any case, I had to avoid this model.
