not a good buy Jan 28, 2009
By Maureen Marsden I purchased this toaster online. It was not designed well. A normal sized slice of bread sticks out the top and therefore does not toast the bread evenly. I lived with this for about 6 months, and then it stopped working altogether. I am a repairman, so I was able to temporarily fix the toaster by cleaning some contacts on one of the relays, but the problem came back due to cheap components. Not a good buy!

This was a gift to my daughter and her husband. He thought it was very "interesting" when they first got the toaster. After using it immediately exclaimed that it was a great toaster and not just a gimmick.

By Kitchen Angel I bought this toaster in spite of the lukewarm reviews because it promised fast toasting and I liked the fact that the toast is delivered onto the little serving tray below. Unfortunately, it came with a loose connection and would not work, so I returned it for another. (I should have just asked for a refund). I fully expected the replacement to work but, like the first, there is a loose connection and the toaster must be tilted to get it to start. In addition, the slot is too shallow for even a regularly-sized piece of bread and the top 1/4 will not toast. One must turn it around and put it through again. Luckily, because the toasting is not dependable, the bread is usually still untoasted so putting it through a second time won't matter. In short - nice idea but with poor workmanship and dimensions. I have ordered a DeLonghi from Zappo's and will have to just throw this one out.

By jenron1 Not a bad toaster, but it does take some practice with the darkness settings. Also, does not always brown evenly.
