5West Bend Slow Cooker  Apr 19, 2011

I had a West Bend slow cooker for many years. It finally quit and I had been looking for a new one at every store I was in. Finally found my new one on Amazon. I wouldn't own anyother brand of slow cooker. The base doubles as a grill and they are light weight which is really good when you get older.

5West Bend Slow Cooker  Mar 08, 2010
By Alexander H. Sheffield "sandman"
We bought this as the replacement for a old West Bend that we've used for 25 years . The price and delivery were very good . The cooker appears to be just a updated better quality version of the original. We have a bigger, heavier , more expensive slow cooker but it does no better than the Focus Electric cooker and is a lot harder to handle and clean.

5Lightweight and easy to clean  Oct 08, 2011

Cooker is light in weight and cleans easily. Get foods up to temperature on stove then move it to the base for long-term slow cooking. Variable temp settings are easy to moniter and the base can be used separately as a small griddle. It was hard to find a slow cooker with this versatility. The crocks are too heavy for me because of a minor elbow injury.

My wife's old slow cooker finally quit. She wanted on she could but on the stove top in needed but has had some crock pots and never liked any in the past. This one is better than the old one she had and she uses it more. To be honest it didn't seem to work at first but it was just getting used to a new temperature control. you have to set it higher than the old one but she can put in a frozen pot roast and it is done when she gets back from work.

She wants to get one for her daughter!!!

Purchased this for my mom to replace one she had.
She told me this one didn't seem to cook as good
as the one she had before that was identical to
this one.
