5The Best Grill - EP320  May 18, 2009
By Byron Butters "Grampa"
I have the EP320 - cost an extra $50 to have all stainless steel insides - cooking grates and burner covers - and it was worth it. Nice to cook on and easy to clean with a brass brush while the grill is still warm. Turkey, roasts, steaks, corn on the cob, beans, potatoes, etc. all come out great. Must buys are the rotisserie and the cover. Takes about 2 hours to assemble but it is not complicated. Go to Weber's website and try some of their recipes and methods. They work!

My previous grill was a Ducane and it doesn't even come close to this Weber. The Weber has more heating power and much more even heating and better design like putting the propane tank in from the front rather than the rear. The built in scale to show how full your propane tank is was a nice addition.

Buy this grill - you will be very happy you did.

5WOW ....Very Nice Grill!!!!  Mar 20, 2009
By Lisa Baranowski "Lisa B"
The Grill came from the west cost to east cost in about 1 week, box arrived in great condition and is packaged well for a long commute. It didn't take long to figure out that I made a good purchase. The assembly was easy, lots of parts but it went together with no problems. It has picture instruction that are easy to follow. Parts are quality, nothing cheap here!!!

The electronic ignition works great and has weight gauge for the propane so I hope I don't run out again!!! I love the way it cooks, evenly and gets hot fast. The copper color is very nice and is a great addition to my outdoor decor!!!
I would buy this again without question!

5FAB-U-LUSSSSS  Apr 16, 2010
By John O. McCauley
This is my second Gensis. My last one only lasted 20 years. I expect this one to last as long. It took me a few hours to put together, but has proved worth it. It puts out much more heat than my old one, so I'm going to have to re-learn my fire. I've only used it once, and I already love it. This is one beautiful machine, and a great weapon in the war against raw meat everywhere. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to cook outdoors!

5Great burgers  May 29, 2009
By Eric Hubler
Our inaugural burgers were a great success. This grill heats far more evenly than any we have ever used. I like the scale inside that shows you how much gas you have left.

I'm confused though about the fact that my grill was sold by a different retailer than the one currently shown, at a very different price ($140 less).

3Cooks Greate - Quality questionable  Jun 11, 2010
By Pete V
Purchased an EP-320 based on all the wonderful reviews. Quite disappointed.

Assembly instructions are great if you like all pictures and no instructions. I prefer instructions to complement the pictures. That and the fastners inventory comes seperately of the instructions and the fastner pictures on the assembly instructions do not always match the fastners. You have to cross-reference everything with the fastner inventory to make sure you have the right fastners as the pictures in many cases are wrong. Anyway thats a nit.

Reason I am disapointed is for some reason the cookbox on my unit will not rest low enough into the frame to install the gas manifold and control knobs correctly. So I called Weber. Even though I told them it wasn't, they figured the right frame was bent and sent me another. So guess what the replacement frame they sent me was bent :-( I also should note that the nice pretty copper top, it came with a bubble in the paint...so Weber had to send me one of those too. And no the box was not damaged in shipping.

While waiting for the bent replacement frame, I went ahead and completed assembly as the defect was minor and caused no real harm... Wanted to cook on the BBQ for my birthday as it was my birthday present. But no. no. no. Good thing I took the time to do a gas check after assembly as the gas manifold had a bent fitting where the regulator enters the manifold and a gas leak. Can we say boom.

So I called Weber, they tell me not to use the grill (duh! - its leaking propane). They sent me a new manifold and ask that I return the old one so they can investigate how the defect may have occured (Makes me happy to know they take enough pride in their equipment to seek to prevent re-occurance so they get a plus for that.) After installing the new manifold, I am able to cook a couple things on the Grill - Wonderful cooking machine - best grilling I've ever seen. Gets hot fast - even heat - I can even able to bake in it and not burn stuff (baked Salmon and Potatoes last night)

But the cookbox / mainifod will still not rest low enough for the control knobs to be installed right. I look, look, look and can't figure out what the heck is the problem. I check to make sure the frame is square, level, etc. Yep all is good. I also compare the the replacement bent replacement frame that Weber sent me (door mount was bent not the frame itself) and they look the same.

So I drop by Lowe's to compare to an already assembled unit. The mainifod on their assembled unit rests in the frame very nicely. I look and look to see if any differences in assembly. All I can see if Lowe's installed one support on the frame upside down from what I did. So I go back home, check the instructions over twice and confirm I installed the part properly but just for the fun it I take everthing apart and switch the parts orientation just to make sure. No it didn't solve the problem

So tommorow, I'm back on the phone with Weber. Not sure what to think as I can't figure out what might be causing the problem. I'll update review later once I hear back from Weber.

If it wasn't for all the defects I'd give this grill a 5 star rating. It cooks great. But given it came with multiple defects and given one defect was very unsafe.... And given replacement parts sent to me were also defective I cannot give it better than 3 stars.
Eventually I expect the problem will be resolved. Weber seems more then ready to throw parts at it but way too much of my time and frustration are involved - it was my birthday that got messed up.

Update: Finally go the BBQ fixed. So long story short, after several more hours of trouble-shooting I decided the burners were also bent and asked Weber to sent me some. Now my birthday present is all fixed works like a charm. Again excellent grill - can cook so much better with this grill then past grills.... If only it wasn't broken on receipt.
