Great kitchen Addition May 20, 2001
This solid (and weighty) piece of equipment does a great job of mixing juices with powdered supplements, as well as ice cream drinks, etc. It has a compact triangular footprint (About 7-1/4" X 9" inches at the widest points) and is very stable. It is, however, an extremely tall appliance (18-3/8") which is too tall to fit under some overhead cabinets or on most shelves, so the buyer should check out storage options before purchasing. Although the stainless steel cup is 28 ounces, the maximum fill level is 16 ounces (and minimum is about 4 ounces--smaller quantities would not come in contact with the mixing disk.) This truly is very easy to clean - run with soapy water in the cup to wash and then with fresh water to rinse.

Durability is the key here Sep 23, 2002
I got a deal on this one (clearance) but it's worth the full purchase price. The main thing that sold me was the fact that the whipping blade (agitator) is metal. All the other drink mixers I've seen have a cheap plastic agitator and I've heard stories about them chipping/breaking off which made me very hesitant, even though I've wanted one for a long time. This [one] will not chip or shatter...in fact it did a good job of nicking up my favorite 18/10 stainless steel spoon I was using to stir my first milkshake while it was mixing! It's a solid, well-built addition to your kitchen whether you use it once a month or 10 times a day. (It also looks great next to my KitchenAid mixer.)

Ebony (chrome) looks great; makes perfect protein shakes Apr 08, 2002
By Jamshid Afshar I was hesitant about spending over a hundred bucks on a mixer (I just wanted something to make protein shakes), but I'm really glad I got this. It looks great on the counter, is easy to clean, and is a very convenient way to make shakes. Warning: it doesn't crush ice.

Summer savior May 08, 2000
This drink mixer is a great thing to have in summer when it's hot, though I've also used it in winter. But for making summery ice cream drinks like the Grasshopper, or even non-alcoholic shakes and malts, this mixer rules. It's easy to use and durable enough to use over and over throughout an afternoon or an evening. Just be sure you have enough ingredients, because after you hand out the first drink, everyone is going to want one.

Waring Retro Drink Mixer Jun 02, 2001
By Ann Joy This is the best kitchen item I have purchased in years. Remember the old soda fountains in the drug stores back in the 50's? Remember ordering the frothy vanilla shakes? This mixer will take you back, and you now can relive the 50's and 60's and have truly authentic milk shakes and frappes-and also other types of drinks...Have kids? They will love you for it..Easy to keep clean and the design is sleek and uncluttered. I love it!
