After previously ordering and receiving a highly rated pressure cooker by another manufacturer - and finding that product unsatisfactory (and with a broken part) - I ordered the Tramontina 8-qt. model. After carefully examining the product and using it to prepare several meals, I can say that it fully meets my expectations. The easily removed lid gasket and pressure valve, and heavy gauge stainless steel body construction, make clean-up simple and thorough. A sandwich style heat distribution plate on the bottom provides rapid heating and uniform heat distribution. Achieving and maintaining cooking pressure was straightforward. I finally found a pressure cooker that is a pleasure to use.

The pan is well made and heay duty 18/10 stainless steel, it is easy to clean and take apart. The safety lock works automatically so you cannot open it when its pressurized. The dual settings are 7 psi and 13 psi and cooks a vegetable soup in minutes. Perfect size.

This is totally worth the money. It's easy to use and clean. While a little expensive, it's comparable to others, works well, and seals with confidence.

I am a very choosy shopper.I always shop around and read reviews before I buy things.I used to own a certain brand of pressure cooker and it lasted me 15 years to use it.I loved it 's simplicity and built.And this brand is almost similar to it.I love the fact that it is heavy duty and easy to use.I use it at least twice a week and is loving it.I would highly recommend this brand.
