5Rice Cooker  Nov 14, 2007
By Roger Haldenby "roger"
I eat a lot of rice, and this is the best rice cooker I've ever used or seen.

Plain rice, brown rice, sweet rice - there's a setting for everything and more. Measure the rice with the little handy-dandy cup and put water in exactly to the lines on the side of the cooking bowl, and you'll have perfect rice every time.

Once cooked the rice stays perfect, hot, right consistency for a long, long time - as long as 24-36 hours.

Very simple to use, it even looked after the change from Daylight to Standard time on the right day at the right time!

Highly recommended.

5Bullet proof and ultra simple rice cooker  Mar 30, 2010
By Zevoruko
I love cooking rice but I admit when I got this as a wedding gift I was impressed at how simple it is to use... it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare everything and then the machine cooks the rice with no need for human intervention unlike normal pot cooking where you have to be watching all the time to avoid burning or undercooking the rice

I think it has more types of rice programs than my local supermarket has rice but it sure is a fantastic purchase

highly recommended for anyone who wants to cook rice in a simple way and not waste too much time to get it done perfectly

5Great rice!!!  Nov 11, 2010

This Tiger rice cooker is great. I have cooked several types of rice and all have turned our perfect. The cooker cleans up easily, no sticking, and I like the paddle attachment on the side of the cooker and the self storing cord. Handy!!!

1Vendor totally unresponsive  Feb 25, 2012
By Shirley Hackert "shirleyinroseville"
We ordered a 5.5 cup tiger rice cooker. We were sent a 10 cup rice cooker, same brand as ordered, but much larger than wanted. Attempted to contact vendor multiple times, both through telephone and email. Never a response. Tried through Amazon, no response to me, but told Amazon they had resolved the "technical " problem. That was a BIG FAT LIE. We finally gave up, and used the 10 cup cooker, after 2 weeks of attempted resolution. The cooker is good, but still too big for our kitchen. Stay away from Very Asia seller.

5The best rice cooker. The Tiger rice cooker works great trouble free for years.  Sep 19, 2011

The best rice cooker. The Tiger rice cooker works great trouble free for years. I make brown rice, white rice and sometimes I cook lentils with brown rice together in my Tiger rice cooker. This is an excellent rice cooker. It is easy to use to pick which type of rice you are cooking.

To use this rice cooker you measure out the rice with the given measuring cup that comes with the rice cooker. Then you fill up the pan with water and rice up to the level you want (labeled.) Then you select the type of rice you have and close the lid and start it cooking. I cook the full 5.5 cups of white rice in about twenty minutes. The maximum brown rice is 3.5 cups and it takes about 45 minutes to cook.

The rice cooker maintains constant high temperature; so you can always have hot rice. I use up my rice before it gets an old crust on it. So it is always good. I really like this rice cooker as it makes cooking excellent rice easy every time; and then it keeps the cooked rice ready to eat.
