healthier eating Nov 12, 2006
By Anna L. Martin I am enjoying the recipes in this cookbook for healthier eating even though I'm not a diabetic. They are still flavorful and tasty. I think anyone could benefit from these recipes to have better eating habits.

Change takes a while for some! Jul 24, 2010
By Christian With A Pen Book was interesting. I'm used to the old fashion soul food and am slowly adapting to a healthier way of cooking it. I did switch from hamhocks to smoked turkey wings in my collard greens and now I use brown rice with all my meals. I also found a oven fried chicken recipe on the food network website under Pat and Gina's Oven fried chicken. We have to be open to try new things and this book will help lead you down that path!

Simply The Best! Nov 14, 2011

I have been eating soul food for my entire life. As I (like the most of America),work toward eating healthier without sacrificing the taste. This book has tasty and healthy ways for everything under the sun and then some. It offers recipes that I hadn't even given thought. If you enjoy the taste of southern/soul food, this IS the book that will help you enjoy those dishes from a healthy place.
