Simple but GREAT! Jun 25, 2008

It is a simple toaster which is what I wanted. I had previously gotten one that made toast, eggs, and sausage at the same time and the thing made it no time at all. This time I just wanted something that would do our toast, poptarts and hamburger buns! THIS ONE DOES ALL OF THIS GREAT! It has wide slots and we can do our buns which is great as hubby likes his toasted! Also if something short is to low to grab, just push up on the lever and it raises it up a bit so you can grab it! All in all, it is a super, simple but nice looking toaster!

It's the little things that count Jan 10, 2010
By Nancy M. Hammons This toaster has just what I wanted. It has a little tray to pull out to get rid of the crumbs instead of dropping the bottom down and shaking the heck out of it, it has a small bar to push if you've decided the toast is done and you want to stop the process. It's the little things that count.

Great toaster Nov 30, 2008

I am very happy with this toaster. It works perfectly. And it looks great in my kitchen. I like how it holds the bread in place as it toasts and how I can control the crispness of the toasts.

Sunbeam toaster Apr 10, 2009

Small and compact. Doesn't toast as evenly as I would like. One side of toast or bagel seems to toast more than the other.

Cautiously optomistic Aug 03, 2009

After doing quite a bit of research on toasters and finding that there was nothing that was clearly an outstanding choice without being too pricey, I decided to go with this economical Sunbeam. Figured since we don't make a lot of toast, we could get by without spending a lot of $. So far, it's ok. It toasts pretty well, except for mini-bagels. Those need to be watched or they will burn.
We like the lightness and the small overall size of the toaster - useful since we put it under the cabinet when not in use. I like that there's a separate lever to stop the cycle even if it is a little awkward to work. The fact that it's black works well with both my decor and I anticipate that it will be easier to clean than stainless.
Do I expect this toaster to hold up for a long time? Not really, because the plastic shell and inner works don't seem to be very heavy-duty, but then again, neither was the price.
