3Crock part didn't last  Apr 17, 2010
By Don't cry for me, Argentina
I loved my crockpot, but the crock part lasted less than two years (and yes, I followed instructions regarding not immersing a hot crock in cold water, and filling at least half way). The crock cracked slightly after using only a few times (which I read somewhere was normal). As of today, the crock part is no longer usable and I see that the company's website doesn't have replacement parts for this particular model, which means I'll have to buy an entire new slow cooker. I loved my crockpot and used it all the time, but having recently lost a job, I can't really afford to replace it at this time. I'm very disappointed. I expect my appliances to last more than a year and a half.

1CrockPotBrandCrocksSuck  Feb 16, 2011

Same thing happened to me as many, but you'll have to look at the reviews of all the Crockpots with this handle design (ie programmable/digital and manual) to really know how prevalent my experience was. Side handles broke off, lid handle broke off. I almost scalded my dog and myself when the side handle broke while lifting. Still continued to use it but couldn't lift it. Next the lid handle broke. Continued using with extreme difficulty since the lid was on backorder through Rival replacement parts (ask yourself why this might be the case). Next the other side handle broke. Crockpot/Rival should be ashamed and should be paying me for the hazard they subjected my entire family for their decision to employ cheap/poor construction. When I get a chance, I'll add a picture as proof and what you can expect from this shoddy kitchen appliance. By the way, it's only 2 years old.

4Wonderful Crock Pot.  Dec 07, 2011
By Christina Ramos
I love this Crock Pot!. With kids growing up and moving out, I needed to downsize from my 6.5 quart. This one is awesome and just the right size. I love the timer since sometimes 4,6,8 or 10 hours just doesn't work for all recipes.

It does appear to cook a bit hot/fast. But I have just learned to reduce cooking time a bit.

Overall this is a great slow cooker.

5Excellent crock pot!  Jan 01, 2011
By Christina Myers
I've had this crock pot for almost 6 years now and recently bought one for a friend who didn't have one. This version of the slow cooker features a more variable timer than the newer model which only has four settings for time. This is a great slow cooker and worth every penny. I have had no problems in the six years I've owned mine and it still works perfectly and looks brand new. I highly recommend this crock-pot.
