5High Quality  Dec 26, 2004
By Paula
I use this canner approximately twice a month. I bought it about 6 months ago and it is a wonderful product. It's nice that there are no moving parts to replace. I don't need to worry about the dial guage being calibrated. The canner comes with an EXCELLENT recipe book! The shrimp creole and beef stroganoff are absolutely delicious and easy to make. My husband was really impressed.

I highly recommend this canner, along with the 22-quart from the same company. They are both excellent and should last a lifetime. This canner is an excellent value as well.

2Mirro 12 qt pressure canner  Sep 14, 2008
By Nettie
The size description online and what it really is does not match. Mirro knows there is a manufacturing malfunction and has nothing to replace it with. It will not hold the usual 7 canning quart jars, only 5 and then the lid will not close with the jars inside.

5Surprisingly Outstanding  Jun 01, 2010
By Mike3746 "Mike"
I bought my 12 qt. Mirro to replace a smaller pressure canner and am delighted. I originally wanted a canner with a pressure guage. I was not really sure about using the "three" pressure regulator, since I had never used this kind before. But, since all my canning is done at 15 PSI, it turns out my little "Security blanket" need to see some guage tell me the pressure is actually 15 PSI was purely a mental thing. I love the simplicity, the easey cleaning, the compactness and the sleek, very professional look of this canner. My first project with my new canner was to put up about twenty pounds of chicken breasts in pint jars. No problem...I simply followed the manufacturer's guide and in no time, had twenty pints of really beautiful chicken breast chunks on the shelf. I am really impressed with the way the lid goes on with out any effort. Also, the safety lock is a design that is just impossible to fail.

So...I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this pressure canner to anyone, beginners or experts. For the price, it simply can not be beaten.

1Don't buy  Aug 15, 2011
By Susan
I have been very unhappy with this little canner...not the size or operation, but the rusting of the weights. I am not the only one with this problem. The weight gets rusty and spews rust all over your canner and stove!
My old Mirro with a different weight does not have this problem.
I gave it away and bought a small All-American.
My advice, buy a Presto or All-American.
