Fast, convenient , easy cleanup rice cooker Dec 08, 2004
By Donald Stark I've had my cooker for 11 years (got it in college). Great for making a quick (12-15 min) single or double serving of rice. The plastic design (as well as the lid disassembly) makes for easy cleanup.
Larger servings can be difficult due to boil-over issues, so I wouldn't recommend making more than about 3/4 cup of rice at one go. Also, the bits that snap over the lid to hold it down can come off and get lost. I still have mine after 11 years, but my college roommate lost one of his way back then. (It was after he moved out with his cooker in the summer that I had to pick up my own - I was hooked at that point.)

College Must Jul 07, 2005
By TK I'm entering college this coming fall and have begun shopping for my dorm. Rice is a staple in my culture and diet, so I was looking for a convenient way to make rice. The rice comes out perfect, even though it took me the second time to make it absolutely perfect and fluffy. I was actually surprised that you could make rice that quickly, and in a microwave, no less.

Compact and nice -- but it could be better Feb 18, 2006
By Phani Tej Adidam It is a nice and compact rice cooker. However, it can cook only upto 1 and half cups of rice properly. Otherwise, the water overflows into the microwave. The lid doesn't shut tightly.

Perfect Rice EVERYTIME! May 12, 2005
By L. Ross This little thing makes the perfect rice everytime, and it couldn't be easier to use. You can substitute different liquids for the water such as chicken broth or add curry powder to jazz up your rice, but either way you cook it, it can't be beat.
