This is pretty good smoked paprika... there are better ones out there but they tend to cost about 6-10 times what this does. Unless you're just an occasional user, I couldn't justify going to the higher priced stuff. This has an overall good flavor, no bitterness, not too smokey, and its level of smoke is very consistent. I will definitely keep buying this.

I tried McCormick Smoked Paprika a few months ago and was enchanted with this new flavor. I started delving into Indian cuisine and the ingredients listed Smoked Paprika. I found this spice at the local Foodlion store and it was quite expensive for a 1.6oz. bottle. I'm glad to see this larger size at such a good price. I like the taste of McCormick, so I hesitate to try another brand. Highly recommended!

Buying smoked paprika in this size is saving me over 400% vs. getting it in the smaller sized bottles. Perfect for my smokehouse homemade rub. So fragrant. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

My wife was really interested in trying smoked paprika after hearing it being used in several cooking shows. We were never able to locate smoked paprika in any of the local stores, but I happened to find this on Amazon. We enjoy it more than regular Spanish paprika. This is the first time we ordered smoked paprika, so some of the other brands may be better. This particular brand is cheaper than most others I've come across, however, so if you are just curious about the taste, it may be worth a buy for you. I will agree that the flavor may get lost in most recipes if a number of spices or a sauce is also being used, but used as a simple seasoning (like salt and pepper) on simple food it is delicious.
