I like using this rice cooker. I have only used it for rice. However it does leak during cooking so i put kitchen roll under it before cooking.

5Wonderful Versatile Microwave Cookware  Apr 13, 2011
By GlennaJo "glennajo"
I've made rice, pasta and lots of popcorn very successfully.
I have an 1100 watt microwave. It looks like the instructions are for a 600-800 watt microwave.
Cooked brown rice according to instructions (full 1100 watts) and it was too dry and I had to add water and cook it some more, but it ended up very light and nice. Next time I think 80% power will work better.
Cooked pasta at the high end of the time on 80% power and it came out just right.
Cooked popcorn 2-1/2 to 3 minutes on high.
It is true that there was residue on the microwave plate after both rice and pasta, but just a little and it cleaned up easily.
I think this is a great cooker and much much easier to clean that a big pasta pot.

5What more do you want?  Feb 25, 2011
By NHB "show me"
This rice cooker couldn't be more basic or easier to use. I cook for 2 most of the time so the size is fine for us. Use mostly white basmati rice but others too. This cooker is exactly like the Joyce Chen I used to have (until I burnt it to a crisp, my fault). Didn't want an electric one and this really does do what I want and can be put in the dishwasher too. Love it!

5Rice is nice.  Dec 28, 2010
By Mike Phillips
I've been using the stove method for my Rice-a-Roni forever. Just did the MW for the first time and the results were better than expected. I will experiment with 15min next time. The 17.5min is a little too long because it turned out a little dry.
Overall, the cooker is perfect for small meal preparation with less work.

5Better than my expensive rice cooker...  Dec 18, 2011
By Dave_M
We purchased this to use on our boat, where we have microwave but limited other space, and we didn't want to put our expensive cooker on the boat. Amazing performance, cooks brown rice perfectly. We bought a second one for use at home. Love it.
