Hot Italian cookbook Apr 12, 2006

Victoria Gotti is very thorough in the descriptions of all her recipes. She offers time management tips for preparing many of her dishes. Victoria also adds little personal stories between sections which are written in a heartfelt manner. This cookbook is a must for people who love to cook Italian food.

I watched Victoria's show on A&E and I loved it. Because of that, I was interested in her book and I must say her book doesn't disappoint. Her pizza dough recipe (which I used to make garlic parmesan knots) turned out perfect (in fact better than the recipe I had used eons ago from Betty Crocker). Anyways, her book is entertaining and mouthwatering and I can't wait to try my next recipe from her (I think Sunday Gravy should be next). Ciao :-)

A great gem of a cookbook! Apr 14, 2008
By David R. Larson I found this book for sale at my supermarket in a sad-looking pile of heavily discounted items that no one seemed to want and feel I "rescued" it! It was well worth it! I don't know much about Italian cooking and I really liked the way Victoria explains the recipes in simple, easy-to-understand steps even I can follow. Many of them turned out very deliciously and I was proud to serve them on my table. She genuinely loves cooking and it shows through and she wants others to enjoy cooking too. I also liked her stories about her family. Again, this is not a family I know a whole lot about and it was fascinating to read about where she came from and her values, experiences, background, etc. She is a beautiful lady and she seems to have an equally lovely personality. I am very glad I found the book, she certainly brought good Italian cooking into my home!

Gotti's hot italian dish, is one hot italian feast! Jun 10, 2006
By Katie Ross as a gourmet cook, there's not much a cookbook can teach me these days--but, I must say, Gotti has lots of traditional methods and recipes that make preparing the many dishes, taste just like grandma uses to make on Sundays! I bought six to give as gifts--that's how much I liked this book!....Chef Katie....
