So Far I Love It Apr 11, 2011

I have gone through numerous crock pots trying to find that one that has a good design, is easy to use and really works. Well I found it in this unit. Granted it's not programmable but then I never felt comfortable using that feature when I was away from home which is a lot. And the pluses of this unit far outweigh the absence of that feature. First there's that handy spoon rest on the top of the lid, so convenient for placing your serving/cooking spoon which by the way also comes with the unit. Second, there are the handles which lift up on the side of the crockpot making moving it from location to location much easier. Third, there's a lid rest on the back of the unit where you can securely place the lid while checking your food. This helps keep the counter free of a large lid placement and any food spill from that. Fourth, there are separate levers on the side so that you can secure the lid down tightly during cooking. Fifth there's a thick rubber lining around the lid which helps with the noise of a floating glass lid and also keeps steam and cooking fumes to a minimum. Another big plus for me was that I didn't need to air out or run the crockpot prior to using in order to eliminate toxic fumes as I did with my very expensive Cuisinart crockpot which then broke after two uses. I had to literally put that one outside when running because the fumes were so bad. This crock pot was ready to go. The ceramic was also easy to clean and the unit didn't get too hot when using stressing me out about accidentally touching it. All in all I am thrilled so far with this crock pot and looking forward to using it often when I'm in town. Highly recommended.

Great slow cooker -NO More Spills! Jan 19, 2011

I got this slow cooker after looking at alot of different ones and reading all the reviews. LOVE IT! I've used it so many times already. I take it to work all the time so I've really tested the seal - No Spills at all!!! And that was with soup in it twice bouncing around in the seat of my van - not a drop out of the pot. It cooked and warmed nicely. The spoon rest is great to keep it all together. So happy with this purchase - I see many more meals making many more non-spill trips. Great buy!

We bought this primarily so we could safely transport hot food, without my wife having to sit in the car with a folded up towel on her lap to keep away the heat. Now we cab set it in the back seat without fear that we are going to have a spill. Not only that, but it cooked great.

Excellent product Nov 17, 2010
By Blizzy This is a fantastic slow cooker. The minimum cooking time seems to work well for the recipes I've made so far. Great product. A timer would be on my wish list for next time though.
