Very nice toaster for the money Dec 02, 2008

This toaster was given to us as a gift and we have been extremely happy with it. It is very easy to use and has the features that the average family needs & wants without a bunch of unnecessary difficult to use features. I have no trouble getting toast or bagels out. When it pops, just gently pull up on the handle and it lifts the bread a little higher so it's easy to get out. No problem. The crumb trays are easily removed to clean as well. I recommend this toaster to anyone who is looking for a reliable, functional and inexpensive toaster!

Have had one for years Feb 10, 2011
By Bill Onderdonk I am kind of taken back by the negative reviews on this toaster. My wife and I have had one for the last 4 or 5 years and I am thinking of purchasing another one to have when this enters toaster heaven. I have not had any problems what so ever. I will agree that getting the english muffins out is a little tricky. What I do is flip up the handle quickly with one hand and grab it when it is above the slot. Not bad since I have been doing this for a while. It cleans up nicely since it is chrome and the chord sits right in front of an outlet. I don't know what to make of these reviews but I would definately buy another one. The only thing stopping me is that I am waiting for it to go on sale at least for $30-35. Usually Kohls has good sales.

Great toaster, works very well! Dec 05, 2009

Did not get this toaster through Amazon, got it from a local box store a few years ago. Have enjoyed this toaster immensely. It has consistently performed well, darkness adjustments are precise and it is easy to operate. It has slide-out crumb trays (one for each side covering 2 slices each). It is easy to pull the trays out and empty the the crumbs into the sink. It has frames inside that accommodate any thickness of bread - it will close in on thinner break and spread out for thicker breads.
After the toast has popped and is ready, pull up on the main lever to raise the toast higher to make it easier to grab the toast and pull them out of the toaster. However, smaller breads may not come up high enough and you may need tongs to extricate the bread.
The toaster has been extremely reliable for the few years we've owned it and used it.
It is also a very nice-looking toaster.

If you like burnt toast, this baby is for you Nov 29, 2009

We bought this toaster with money from our wedding. It looks nice, and we need a four slot toaster for our family. To start with it worked fine. As time went on, we needed to adjust the setting as toast was getting too done. Now it's on the lowest setting, and it will set off the smoke detector without fail. Worthless.
Wow Hamiliton Beach is really slipping! Apr 15, 2012
By Casey This toaster does not even toast anything. Plain wheat bread took 3 times at the highest setting just to get the bread hot and even brown yet. I would have returned it but discarded the packaging not even thinking that in this day and age that a toaster would not even work. I once had a Hamiliton Beach toaster last over 20 years. Whoosh
