Not bad for the price Sep 07, 2009
By JC Just purchased this item at Macy's. The price was about 29.00. Used it to make some Margaritas. The Swirling action worked great. No chunks of ice left. Was tempted to spend a lot more, which I usually do on appliances, but the blender only gets limited use. Will see how it works out in the future, but right now the price is right and the performance is fine.

smoothie capable Aug 10, 2010
By polly Purchased this blender at Kohl's last week, it was priced higher than the price that's listed here....however I had Kohl's cash that I needed to use. I've been making smoothies every morning since. It seems to be powerful enough to crush the ice or frozen fruit, as I've done both. It's not quiet, but I'm not in the market to buy quiet. Smoothies have been a success and that's the main purpose for the purchase. Choose this model over others because it was 550 watts, my concern was less wattage wouldn't be strong enough.

Makes Smoothies out of anything Aug 26, 2010

This is the blender Tim Allen would make. It has more power. I think I could probably grind up a lump of wood and it would make a good fiber filled drink.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR Jun 02, 2011

It is Smoothie time with all the fresh fruits coming into the marketplace. Decided to read reviews of Amazon.com purchasers of the less expensive blenders and was not impressed until this bad boy with 550 Watts of Ice Cube Breaking Power was reviewed. This is a heavy duty product that looks good on the counter top but can it make the perfect smoothie?
No ice chunks here. The Wave Action blending process is fun to watch and insures that everything in your smoothie is thouroughly blended. Add the berries, other fruit (juice, yoghurt, milk if you want), ice cubes and hit the pulse button a few times and you have a perfect smoothie. It even has patented stainless steel blades.
This is a good long term investment in your happiness and health!
