very good buy for a basic cooker. Arrived well packaged and quickly. Also, the heating element surround the cooker which wasn't mentioned in the description which is better than heating only the bottom. Very satisfied.............."not a cook"

I had a slow cooker years ago and thought it was great, and a few months ago I was about to buy one at a thrift store. But my boyfriend, an ex-fireman, had some concerns about bringing a slow cooker into the house, since he knew of case where they started fires. I read up on this one to be sure it was well-regulated and became convinced it was a reliable and safe product. I have been very happy with it. Not only does it heat slowly and steadily, but it seals beautifully for transport and it has a handsome interior crock that looks quite nice set on the table. It cleans up easily, and the oval shape is good for meatloaf and other oblong sorts of things.

I have only used it twice, but both times the meat in the dish came out tender. It is a nice size for just the two of us. So far no complaints.

I used my new crock pot twice with excellent results then twice more with disappointing results. Had to cook green beans 13 hrs. on low, then put it on high for 3 more hrs. before they were cooked. Same for pintos. Went out to store and bought another brand.

This pot is simple, the temp knob delivers three temps as expected, it's good looking and inexpensive = Perfect :) I've gone through a few slow-cookers and I'm happy to give up bells and whistles for reliability. It's just the right size for my small family.
