I bought these for a friend for Christmas who is a malted milk ball fan. She said they were awesome, so I bought some for myself. Wow. A thick layer of Ghirardelli chocolate around the malted milk ball makes these sinfully good. They are like chocolate crack so don't expect them to last long!

I conducted a taste test of malted milk balls so you don't have to wonder. All are superior to bulk malted milk balls of uncertain origin.

Ghirardelli: Best balance of chocolate with crispy malt inside

Double Chocolate Malted Milk Balls: More chocolate, slightly less malt. My favorite.

Bissinger's: Clearly superior ingredients, the most malt flavor. My husband's favorite.

Bissinger's Pumpkin: Very good but not what I expected. Instead of using pumpkin pie spices they use real pumpkin.

All arrived carefully packed with cold packs (shipping is expensive).

I really can't evaluate this product fairly because my husband devoured the stuff before I had a chance to even taste one. I guess that qualifies as a good review, though, doesn't it?
