5Best George Foreman product ever.  Dec 18, 2010

Hi, I'm from Taylorsville, Ga. and this one heck of a product, I had the G5 back in the earlier days, and I would by Tyson whole chickens to cook in it. Clean the chicken and wash it and prepare it. Fill it with cream of chicken soup, mixed with lemon pepper seasoning, and shake lemon pepper seasoning all over it, Set the metal holder in it, set the chicken in it, and set the timer, about less than an hour, melt in your mouth chicken with the best flavor you ever tasted, and no deli has ever had one any better, this is by far the best George Foreman product yet, it's ashame you cant find them at your local Wal-mart or K-mart. Or your local Sears, JC Penney, Belks, Kohls, or places like that, it's not even on the George Foreman web-site, this is a great product, they should be more of these available.

5Just plain wow!!!!  Nov 02, 2010

Got this from "the Q" for $66 and change and saved some money.
It's the same thing as the old discontinued G5 Contact Roaster which I cannot believe I missed back in the early years of the decade.
We are empty nesters and I was looking for a way to cook for two without heating up the whole oven or having to clean the whole oven to get a roast chicken.
First, made boneless pork chops with Shake and Bake, used the insert pan lined with parchment. NO cleanup and they came out great despite the fact that the cooking temperature is lower than recommended on the S&B package.
Then stuffed peppers, halved peppers stuffed with meat and rice mixture and covered with tomato sauce, also in the insert pan, again, just great in a bit over an hour.
Simple frittata, just cooked a few veggies and frozen potatoes in a little butter , added egg mixture and let it cook for about 25 minutes. Another winner.
I will probably use this every day, if not to cook, simply to warm things up, love the 5 minute preheat time.
And, it's NOT gigantic or overly bulky, but compact, about crockpot size and looks sleek and modern on the counter. I never put it away.
If you want more recipe ideas, the booklet for the original can be found on the old item page here at Amazon, .pdf can be downloaded to your computer or printed. I have yet to roast a whole chicken but it works great with leg quarters and some of the seasoning combos suggested in the manual and the old version manual. Almost ALWAYS use it with the insert pan so cleanup is a breeze, would like to have a spare insert !!

5The best roaster out there.  Mar 09, 2011
By MB "positive energy lover"
The George Foreman Convection Style Roaster/Grill is a wonderful product. I also have the G5 model and both roast a chicken to perfection. This larger size roaster will allow a chicken between 5 and 8 pounds to cook within an hour and a half and you'll not be disappointed with the result. Every bird I have cooked so far comes out perfectly tender and juicy. Although, I have not yet attempted to cook other things with the product, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed with the results of a roasted chicken. I am hoping Amazon will offer the product again, so I can purchase another for future use when I have outworn this one. Highly recommended.

I received this within 3 days of ordering! BUT this was broken in to pieces, also was a gift for a family member and came in a white box with a big picture of a george foreman roaster on the front. I am glad someone was home to recieve it though as one of my neighbors would have also been able to see the sticker. It came with no instructions, and just a few pieces of bubble wrap. I have seen paper products wrapped better. BEWARE!
