Great product for the money Dec 26, 2011
By Barbara L. Fleischer Excelsteel 18/10 Stainless 4 Non Stick Egg Poacher There are so many inept cooks out there, it's a wonder this product got any good reviews! Don't you have any common sense?? Sure it gets hot when boiling - that's the point - to cook the eggs! Many people didn't read the instructions, so they burned their fingers. Why do you think pot holders were invented!! And for pity sakes, don't hold your fingers over the holes with live steam coming up - you're asking for trouble! Also, simmer, don't boil, until the eggs are set. And why would you use a pan that isn't flat on the bottom to fry anything!?
Anyway, spray the cups with any non-stick cooking spray and the eggs slide right out. Use a pair of tongs to lift the cups out and good-bye burned fingers. This is a great product for the money.
Little gourmet tips: try putting a pat of butter in the cups with some chopped fresh chives; put in some hot or mild paprika to taste; salt seasoning & pepper are a good idea. for creamed eggs put a tablespoon of cream in the cups with any of the above suggestions. There are many more ideas than I can print here.
I recommend this egg poacher to anyone who wants a departure from the usual fried or scrambled approach to egg cooking, without paying a fortune to give it a try.

Nicely Built Aug 14, 2010
By Zzyzx Quality construction and the eggs don't stick to the cups. Easy to clean. It's a bit on the thin side for thickness of the steel but it is entirely adequate for this type of pan.

Excellent cooking utensil. Reasonable in price and performs with minimal clean up due to stainless steel construction. Also comes with glass lid, which many comparable cookers do not!

Best one for the money. Jan 16, 2011
By R. Hughes We've used a number of different poachers and this one works the best. Stainless model far better than any of the aluminum models we had used. Spray the cups with non-stick spray and the eggs will fall right out. It couldn't be any easier to make great poached eggs. Amazon was the best price to be found.

This is truly an all stainless steel product made from non-magnetic (quality) stainless steel.
While it is made out of thin guage stainless steel, that is what makes it lightweight and easy to use. Completely suitable for an egg poacher.
Eggs are cooked perfect each time and the product is easily cleaned. stacks efficiently so it can sit under other pots and pans withour takig up much space.
Just spray the non-stick egg cups with Canola oil and eggs slide out onto a plate perfectly.
Quick cooking, delicious and perfectly cooked eggs and quick clean-up. What more could one ask for?
