1Disappointing.  Feb 12, 2010
By "Carol Cook"
This pan was supposed to have a special coating on it and be pre-seasoned. It has a very rough texture and rusts easily making it a chore to care for. I use cast iron pans all the time and never had a bad experience with one - until now. I would not buy it again - and will not buy another Emeril kitchen product because of this bad experience.

5Hot Homemade Cornbread!  Aug 30, 2011
By ddanne
I brought this pan a little over a year ago. I use it about three times a week to make cornbread for my family. I love this pan, how it make the corners of the bread crispy, just the way I like it. The size is great also, we usually have leftovers. That is unless I make the tex-mex cornbread and there is no leftovers. I also like the two handles that makes it easy to get in and out of the oven. The seasoning of the pan is a loving on going task. After each use I wash with warm water and soap when something sticks to it. I do use a scouring pad some times to help remove all stuck on food. Then a small amount of cooking oil is applied to store the pan. Pre-heating the pan before adding mixes helps to prevent sticking. Overall, I love the pan and enjoy cooking for my family in it. I tell people about it all the time, how that it makes such good and crispy cornbread.

I purchased this pan and it is rough and not seasoned well. As is the case with most cast iron. I am very dissatisfied with the size of the pan. Amazon sells and ships this product, their product dimensions say the pan is 10x20x2. I bought this expecting these very dimensions. I was highly disappointed with Amazon, the pan is actually 10x10x2. I guess I might be MORE DISSATISFIED with Amazon.
