Deserves a good review Oct 29, 2010

I got hooked on these little things after buying a $2 battery frother from IKEA that had a fixed round-spring attachment. It broke after about 4 months of use (I use these about every day). It's cool how these things double the volume of the milk and give you a coffee shop-quality drink. Also good for quickly mixing kool-aid or other beverages.
I WOULD NOT recommend using these for baby formula. Frothing a baby's drink will make them swallow the air particles, giving them colic.
After the IKEA mixer, I bought the NORPRO cordless mixer, which had attachments. It lasted about 2 months. You have to hold down the switch, which barely makes contact with the metal below it, so it was a pain. (I'm not going to review it, because so many others said the same thing)
When I searched for a new one with attachments, I saw this and the Handy Personal Mixer by Sana Enterprises. It had good reviews, but looks a little outdated. I went out on a limb, paid a little extra, and bought this mixer. I've had it now for about 2-3 weeks. It looks great on my microwave stand, next to the coffee maker. The attachments are very good quality. It froths milk well, although it feels slightly slower than the others I've had. I would think this is attributed to the heavier attachments, since they're not just cheap wire. I have no qualms with its performance.
Another plus is that the stand allows me to stick the attachment (while attached) into the cup to prevent dribbles. Even without the cup, I don't have to let the mixer touch my cabinet between mixes. (as pictured, the attachment hovers about 1/8th" above the surface of the table. The attachments are long enough to mix with just about any mug, including the taller faux to-go cups you see everywhere now.

By emr I love this, it makes every cup of coffee at home feel like a fancy six dollar starbucks cup, and the extra whisks make it great for scrambled eggs, chocolate milk....

I had no misconceptions when I purchased this product that it was small and plastic. It is perfect for the purpose for which I purchased it. Works great, in fact I have used it almost every day and others who have seen it want to get one too. I am a very satisfied customer!!

Great little mixer! Aug 01, 2011
By Mario Wille Glad we got this one after reviewing others in the price range. Frothing hot milk is quick for capuccinos & large circle will make "ranch" salad dressing even using pure sour cream with a dash of milk! This is because the motor has good power & torque and we're using rechargeable batteries (2 included) that hold up to the tasks. Easy to clean and the compact design is very cute & space saving; it looks good on the countertop & works great, highly recomended as it's going strong after 6 months of daily use!

Wisk Frother is very helpful, work the milk a little before using the steam frother makes a latte incredibly simple. The seller was increadibly fast, so much so many other friends now have this in their kitchen. Other attachments also help with fancy cocktails. I give this a definite recommendation.
