Love this pot Feb 16, 2005
By JL I bought this pot and had used it for chicken soup and chili. It stays boiling after I turned the heat down and will not boil over so it's perfect for braising and stewing.
I've also used it to brown food on the stove top then put in the oven for baking. Everytime it gives great performance. I also love the see-through glass lid. We are very pleased with this pot and use it often.
Highly recommended.

Not as good as I thought it would be Jan 03, 2006
By N. Das Bought this stockpot with a lot of expectations. I used it for the first time to make soup, and there were scratches all over the bottom. I even used a wooden ladle instead of a metal utensil. I expect quality from Cuisinart cookware and also from quantanium non-stick coatings. I also expected it to be heavier.

Poor Quality May 22, 2010
By Eileen Purcell The first one that I received leaked where the handle was riveted. Amazon was great about replacing it with free shipping. The replacement's bottom is not level so it rocks on the burner. I also found that it's very light in weight....aaargh!

Not just a pot Jan 30, 2006
By Rondalyn V. Whitney Hey, I know it sounds weird to review a pot (I mean it's a pot, right?) but it is a good one. Nothing sticks, we can clean it and still have time to have a life and it boils water turned to medium because, well, who knows? but it somehow conducts heat and works great to get the job done FAST. That's important because I work as a professor and a therapist and a mom of a teen who runs cross country (and eats more pasta than a stereotype) and a toddler (who eats and throws more pasta than his brother) so fast and efficient get high scores at our house.

Good for boiling water but don't cook in it Nov 04, 2010

"I love cycling!"
The only thing this pot is good for is boiling water. Anything you try to cook in it will scorch unless you watch it like a hawk. It is too thin to heat evenly so it has a hot spot right in the center where the burner/gas flame is hottest.
