heatwave 3 burner infrared gas grill Jan 09, 2010
By Kenneth J. Reilly I have a built in outside grill called fire magic that resently cost me close to 500.00 to fix and bring back up to new condition. The problem is that the juices from the meats go past the flavor gates down to the burnners that can cause a plug up. I purchased the Charbroil Heatwave because it caputures the jucies in the bowls that are underneath the porclein cooking crates so no jucies will hit the burner. Great product, and as a bounus the foods cooked on this grill tastes better that the $ 2200.00 fire magic grill. It's a no brainer purchase.Buy it!!!

Awesome grill Jul 09, 2010
By Jimmy_the_3rd Great grill. Fair price for the amount of grill you get. Infared grilling is neat, food tastes great. Grill came from [...] via Amazon website. Had a tiny dent in hood and a couple tiny chips in the paint. Called CharBroil and they quickly sent out replacement parts (after I uploaded photos to them online). Never purchased CharBroil products before, I hope it lasts for many years. I would recommend the grill to a friend.

Top Notch Grill Dec 03, 2009
By Scott Anderson
"Sharpsburg"
Simply fantastic are two key words that sum up the entire grilling experience wrapped up inside this wonderful outdoor grill. Instead of direct flame rising up to burn and char your grilling, this grill has two troughs that transfer radiant heat to the food on the grill. Incorporating flavor by adding wood chips or wine are super easy and the trough holds the key to loads of flavor. Some of the key product features are:
* Three primary burners and the patented, award-winning, Heatwave Infrared Technology
* 13,000 BTU flush lid side burner
* Integrated electronic ignition
* Pull-out tank tray
* Dual Fuel convertible to Natural Gas with the purchase of conversion kit
Try as you might you will not get a flare up unless you choose to throw liquid fat into the trough and heat it till smoking. You will need to readjust your cooking skills to complement the new highly efficient infrared grilling technology but in doing so your will be opening a whole new world of flavor. From steaks, to chicken and vegetables every item on this grill has developed a more pronounced flavor without the loss of color or flash char look of other grills. You can truly set it and grill it without constant lifting of the lid to check your food. With total output of over 35,000 BTU's you can cook whole sides of beef cut down to sear nicely, of an entire basket of fresh garden veggies just waiting for some smokey flavor drizzled with a touch of balsamic vinegar.
The grates are heavy duty, and the entire unit is solidly built and easy to put together. A truly great feature is the pull out tank tray so you can avoid trying to get under the grill to fiddle with changing propane tanks. I also like the integrated electronic ignition. When you turn on the gas at the front knob the electronic pilot automatically lights without having to hold down a separate button.
This grill has it all; power for grilling, ease of setup and clean up, great looks with weather resistance exterior and loads of space to grill for all your family and friends at your next grill party. So stop reading, purchase this grill and get ready to wowed by some delicious tasting food form one of the top of the line grills manufactured by Char-Broil.
So for now keep on grilling and remember; if you're looking you're not cooking!

Long term review - 2.5 year owner Jul 13, 2011
By Rich This grille is amazing when new, but sadly it has not stood up well to real world use. I live in the midwest and love to grill year round, unfortunately my Red has not stood up so well. The outside still looks nice, but I have to find out about replacement valleys that catch the juices/fats etc. Even with regular cleaning the ceramic began to flake and rust began to spread and now I have a hole in the larger one. The far left burner also does not burn as well as it used to and does not hold consistent heat vs. the center and separate right burner. All in all it is a decent grille, but I believe it should be built to a higher level of quality based on the price I paid.

New Grilling Experience! May 30, 2010
By T. Stahl Ok, I grill a LOT! Charcoal, gas and have just about worn out my Bradley Smoker.....the infrared grill craze is just starting!
This thing heats quickly and produces an unmatched product from just about anything you can throw at it! Hot dogs.....just like over an open fire! Brats.....yummy!
Sear your favorite cut and finish it off in the oven if a roast...unbelievable texture and flavor!
Marinate a steak and you will be amazed at the result! Don't marinate...still superb!
Easy to start and easy to clean. Uses much less gas because of the shorter time it takes to cook.
The only reason it did not get 5 stars is that it is already starting to rust where the gas bottle fits into it's holder.
And even though there are several burners you must have them all lit to get the heat up to a temperature required for searing.
Got it in THREE days! Amazon Rocks!
....Brats tonight....see ya!
