Best Wok I've Owned Mar 23, 2010
By Mike C.
"Visage"
I've owned several woks through the years with various coatings, not coated(cast iron) and this is the most durable trouble free wok I've owned. I've used it for high temp stir fry, searing, sauces and recipes that require finishing up in the oven. I followed the directions on the first seasoning and care instructions and have not had any finish degradation at all. I'm very happy with this pan as I head into the 2nd year of ownership.

LOVE IT! Apr 29, 2010
By Stacey M Smith I had a cheap wok several years ago - everything stuck and it was miserable to cook with. So I was litlle skeptical that this wok would be any different --- I was pleasantly surprised. I have used it a number of time with fabulous results. The non-stick surface is great!
I highly recommend being careful about the oil you use --- I typically cook with EVO, but for high temp cooking, use something like peanut oil. Stirfrys turn out resturant quality! I am particularly pleased with the see-through lid - perfect for steaming or watching quick-cooking items. Amazon offers one of the best prices that I've seen for Caphalon, too. Great product.

Quality Is Not Very Good Dec 12, 2009
By A. So It is non-stick alright. However, the interior coating is easily scratched but using nylon spatula. I sent mine in for a replacement. The new one I received has exactly the same problem. It leads me to believe that the whole product line has the same quality. I would recommend for a $17 14" Carbon Steel Wok from Walmart. It is non-stick when seasoned correctly. I've been using one for three months now and it is very nice. I owned at least two sets of Calphalon cookware. Both are their high end product lines. The quality is going downhill and the price remains high.

Love it. Mar 13, 2011
By maycook This nonstick Flat bottom wok is a worth invested tool for the kitchen if you like to stir fry. So easy to clean and can be used on a gas stove. The only thing I don't like is that the handle is too long that make it not stable when we place the wok on the stove. I ended up placing/orienting the long handle away from myself for safety reason.

Cooked well but scratched on first use! Apr 18, 2011
By L This wok cooked really well, but after just one use (using wooden spatulas and washing carefully with a soft, non-scratchy sponge), there were tons of scratches all over! That is what I call defective design. It is going back. I am disappointed because I bought a 12" fryer pan from the same line (Calphalon Unison) at Bed Bath & Beyond that retailed for $60 in store that works great -- no scratches. Maybe it has to do with the fact that this wok is the "sear" whereas the fryer pan is "slide". In any event, I will not be purchasing another. Trying different brand/line instead.
