"stainless steel" pan is not induction stove compatible Aug 04, 2011

I bought this pan to use on my new induction cooktop. Even though the description claims that the pan is stainless steel, it does not have any magnetic properties and will not work with the induction stove. I had checked on the Caphalon web site and it said that contemporary stainless pans are induction compatible. I was unable to return the pan because it took more than 30 days for my cooktop to be installed and I could try the pan.

We bought the set, the wok and this saute pan. All their pans cook exceptionally wee. we love them. and the best part is that they are dish washing machine friendly
