Good little pot Dec 02, 2008

I bought this pot because I wanted a small Dutch oven, and this was the closest thing I could find at a reasonable price. I've used it a couple of times for chili and soups and really like it. It heats evenly and looks decent to serve from at the table. I do put it in the dishwasher, so expect that I may end up with some bites of rust around the unfinished upper edge. For the cost, this can't be beat!

I ordered this Dutch oven to go with the One Pot Meals cookbook. Unfortunately it was damaged during shipment. I contacted their customer Service and received wonderful and prompt service. The replacement was sent out the same day I spoke with them and arrived in perfect condition. I love this pan, it does everything I need a small cast iron pan for and the enamel surface is easy to clean. It is able to handle the high temperature cooking I wanted to do, no plastic knobs or non metal parts that need to be babied to prevent heat damage. And best of all it looks great! The color blend is very eye catching and so pretty I keep the pan out for decoration as well as to keep it handy to use.

I have cooked 8 meals (roast, chicken, ground beef and asst'd veggies) in the past two weeks in this great two quart pot. It cooks well and cleans up great in the sink with a nylon scrubby. It is just the right size for two people one-pot meals. I love the lively blended orange color as it's cheery. I keep it right on the stove in place of honor when not in use.
