Disappointing Jul 24, 2010 I loved this juicer when I first bought it. It was so efficient and fast. The pulp came out almost dry. We used it almost daily to juice carrots. After 6 weeks, the pulp started coming out wet with lots of chunks. It was spitting juice out the side near the pulp chute and producing a lot less juice. I think this is because the blades in the filter are already dulled. What a disappointment. It's going back to the store today.
The Breville 800 JEXL Jul 23, 2010 This is one of best juicer on the market for the dollar, it is easy to clean, you can juice everyday easily, its fast and professional, it will not do wheat grass, I have a Super Angel which cost me almost a $1,000, the Super Angel takes out more juice but its not significant enough for a busy person to worry about, I have recommended it to several people, lots of women with cancer want to juice this juicer is efficient. I think its a well kept secret.

The Cadillac of Juicers Jul 06, 2010 Holy smokes! Everything good that everybody wrote for this review is TRUE. I have gone through 2 juicers already and I was looking for one that I didn't have to clean up my counter and floor in addition to the juicer after I was done with it. THIS is THAT JUICER! You still have to clean it but the difference is I don't have pulp flinging onto the counter or floor when I'm using it. I appreciate the spout being fully inserted into the pitcher where the juice is collected. No spills, no squirts, anywhere near it. It's also less noisy than the other two juicers I've used. The funnel or opening where you feed the vegetables/fruits is bigger than most of the juicers I've worked with - which means I don't have to do any cutting beforehand when I use it. I can just feed the produce in. This was worth the price that I paid for.
i LOVE this juicer Jul 06, 2010 This juicer has become a daily part of my life. Honestly, I have a hard time getting in all my fruits and veggies. I have a great juice book and make a variety of juices.
This is so easy to clean. I clean it after every use before I drink my juice. It's that fast. Goes into the dishwasher as well.
The two speeds work well.
I use a plastic garbage bag to collect the pulp to save another item to clean. Plus is a way to recycle plastic garbage bags.
The only difficulty is putting in smaller fruits such as blueberries. Cover the top when you drop them in or experience blueberries, and blueberry pulp, flying around your kitchen.
LOVE IT. This is a great buy

We can juice anything! Jul 05, 2010 After coming home from the garden with way more veggies than we could figure out what to do with, getting a juicer seemed like a great idea.
I did not want just another cheap appliance on my countertop or something we would use twice and relegate to the hidden depths of the kitchen cabinets, so I read through a lot of reviews and decided on the Breville juice fountain elite.
Ordered in Thursday and delivered on Friday, it arrived in time for us to turn beets, carrots, strawberries, watermelon and all kinds of other fruits/veggies into flavorful juices. This juicer lived up to all the positive comments I have read.
It was very easy and intuitive to assemble. The pieces are well designed and parts are solid (nothing flimsy or cheap about this baby). There are only three settings--high, low, off--so very simple to use. It hums, but is not overpowering in terms of noise (you know it is on and working, but the neighbors won't complain). The chute is wide enough to handle big pieces of fruits and veggies without extra prep.
There are a couple of drawbacks, though it could be that all juicers have these issues. It has many pieces to keep track of, some are dishwasher safe and others are not. Since you have to wash the juicer pieces pretty much every time you use it, it can get to be a lot of work. Also, it splatters a little bit between the cover and the pulp container. Not a huge issue, but definitely noticeable when juicing beets.
Looking forward to exploring the infinite world of juices now that we have the equipment.
