excellent small juicer Jul 18, 2010
By Mars Trader I could not bring myself to pay the prices for the expensive juicers when it seems that they all work the same way. What I like about this juicer is: 1) it works, 2) it's small, 3) if I break it I will not be out for a hundred or more dollars. Juicing is fast and simple. Another reviewer says you aren't getting all of the juice from the pulp. My observation is that my pulp is very dry: I suggest you feed the pieces as directed. And remove veins from your celery. Another reviewer said that when you lift out the screen assembly, stuff falls out. Actually, the screen collar housing is easy to remove and it brings out the screen at the same time. The collar has a lip that catches everything. The screen is hard to clean, but that's true on every juicer. Get a small nylon brush with soft, long bristles too large to get stuck in the holes, and be patient. I found it takes 5 minutes to clean up the entire unit and put the pieces on the dish rack to dry. Another reviewer said that the pulp exit gets clogged and the motor might slow down. This is also my experience, specifically with carrots. When you notice this happening, turn off, remove the cover, and use a finger to clear the blockage and to scoop any lingering chunks from the screen, then put the cover back on and keep going. This takes 20 seconds, it's not a big deal. I like this unit for quick personal juicing and I will be keeping it. March 2011 update: If you "pulse" the carrots by tapping them down in stages rather than pushing them straight through, very little pulp gets caught in the hood!

Good for Beginners and Light Juicers Mar 08, 2010

I like this product. If you are a serious juicer that needs something that has a wide mouth and extracts 100% of the juice from the pulp then this is not the tool for you. If, on the other hand, you are new to juicing, trying out juice fasting, or just want to have the option for fresh juice in your kitchen then for the price, this is a great little machine.

For recreational juicers Dec 16, 2010

This is the first juicer I've ever owned and I've been using it for 2.5 years now. When I first started using it, I thought it was great, I could have fresh OJ, carrot, celery, any fruit/veggie juice I wanted! Over the years I did more research on juicing and realized that a true juice connoisseur would get a juicer that gives you the the least and the driest pulp possible...meaning, you would be juicing as close to 100% of whatever it is you're juicing. This little juicer definitely does not give you the least pulp or the most dry, but it's works fantastically if you're looking for 1. low price, 2. are only an occasional juicer or juice only small quantities at a time, 3. are not serious or don't really care about how much actual juice you're getting out of your juiced items, you just want some juice!
Pros: -not a particularly huge appliance so you could leave it on your countertop -juices fast -cleanup is super easy IF you do it right away. -cord saver on bottom!! I hate seeing messy cords all over the counter -large enough pulp collector container so you won't have to change it if you're only making enough juice for about 2-3 people
Cons: -the included cup is too small =(. I always have to transfer to a bigger jug if I'm juicing for even two people -as the juice comes out, it sometimes leaks and sprays outside the collecting cup so it's kind of annoying to clean up the counter and machine afterward -I don't like how the parts are made of plastic. Although nothing has broken yet, I know the first thing to go is going to be the plastic lid locking pieces. Plastic is a terrible choice for any kitchen appliance, breaks so easily. -if you want to make juice for more than 3 people, this isn't your ideal juicer. You would have to change the pulp collector often, the juice collector cup is way too small, you would have to constantly keep transferring juice, and the whole process would make much too big of a mess. -food chute is too small and awkwardly shaped, I have to cut up apples into 8ths, which is annoying.
Conclusion:
Hey, for the price you're paying, of course there will be a ton of cons. You have to decide if the price is worth the pros =). For me, it is, that's why I give this guy 4 stars. If I ever move up in the world of juicing, I would like to try more expensive machines, but for now, my juicing needs are being met.

Better than expected . . . Aug 11, 2010
By Magicman1963 The juicer I wanted was out of stock , this on was much cheaper so I was skeptical . First off I was suprised to find it to be much more quiet than other juciers I've owned ! Second , I belive I got more juice from my vegetables than I did with my other machines . Finally , this jucier seemed a little easier to clean than the others I've owned . I rate this jucier 5 Stars , I am happy with my purchase .

LOVE LOVE LOVE my new juicer Sep 02, 2011
By M. Shipley First time buying a juicer and I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. I have been so pleased with this juicer that I've been using at least once a day now for two months. Not only does it do the job on everything from carrots to kale to celery to hard apples, but it is an absolute breeze to clean up! I just rinse it off after each use (before I even take a sip of my creation) and use a toothbrush to scrub the blade cup, removing all the pulp. Then I just let it air dry on a towel ready for the next use. It takes less than 2 minutes to clean. Totally amazing!!!
