I live off of the recipes in this book! Dec 13, 2007
By beryl This is my mom's book containing over 110 of her popular, yummy recipes. My husband and I basically live off of these and more from her site, TurkishCookbook.com. I highly recommend this to anyone who's especially new to cooking (most are very easy to prepare) and/or interested in trying Turkish cuisine.
Also don't be worried that you won't be able to find the ingredients in North America, my mom has adapted her recipes to what you can find at local stores here.

A unique offering chock full of great meal ideas Dec 13, 2007
By T. Haloun I really enjoy Mediterranean dishes, but I've found that while there are entire shelves worth of greek, italian, and middle eastern cookbooks, I have never come across a source with more than a few authentically Turkish recipes. This book has over 100 dishes suitable for entrées, appetizers, lunches, deserts, baked items and more. Most of the recipes are simple and straightforward, and contain lots of healthy ingredients.
Additionally the presentation is excellent, with a vivid picture for every dish. Well worth the price of admission!

Binnur's Turkish cookbook review Oct 07, 2008
By A. Yalcinanahtar
"Amie"
My husband is Turkish and I have been wanting to cook Turkish food for him for a while but the dishes I have had just seem that they would take too long to make. One day I was searching for recipes and came across Binnur's Turkish cookbook and the recipes seemed so simple so I decided to buy it. I was a bit dissapointed though when I got it in the mail because I was expecting to get a thicker book for the price I paid for it. Overall I am happy I bought it because the recipes are easy to make and my husband likes the food!

Simple, everyday recipes Jan 09, 2009
By Shelley A This cookbook has a variety of everyday recipes that are super easy to follow. What I like best is that they all have fewer than 10 ingredients, which you can find in any grocery store.
I also have Sultan's Kitchen by Ozcan Ozan. It has delicious recipes, but it takes time to get together all the ingredients for those so I use it for special occasions. Binnur hanim's book is good for everyday use. She also has a website with loads more recipes you can access for free.
Some reviewers complained about the price, but as far as I can tell, this is a self-published cookbook. For me, that's a plus. I think it's nice to support independent authors and the book is good quality.

Perfect!! Mar 16, 2008
By Happy Trails This is a wonderful series of recipes you can use everyday. I have other Turkish cookbooks that I enjoy. However, this is the Turkish cookbook I find most useful. The ingredients are not hard to find. The recipes are delicious and easy to cook. And the author's blog is tops!
