Exceeded expectations - moist tasty food & easy to set up Nov 16, 2010

I added this item to our wedding registry based on seeing it referenced in healthy cooking recipes. I am not anywhere close to a professional chef and I had no idea what to expect from this thing, but after using it for the first time last I was completely impressed. The steamer basically has two compartments and then a lid to put over the top component. You rest the whole thing onto a 10 inch pan filled with water and just set it and forget it. I put chicken in the lower tier and then a bunch of fresh veggies in the upper tier and the food was moist and surprisingly flavorful. It was a little tough to clean all of the chicken bits out of the bamboo weaving on the lower tier, but overall I was pleasantly surprised with this tool and I will definitely be cooking with it again soon.
