52 quart suffle dish  Jun 04, 2008
By Peter Hofer
This size soufflé dish is perfect for making 5-egg size soufflés. Because of its mass (weight), it needs 25 minutes @ 400° to be perfect: brown, firm outside with a soft, creamy (but not runny) inside.
For 6-eggs souffles use the 2 quart size souffle dish.
It cleans up well in the dish-washer and nests perfectly in the 2 quart size dish, saving storage space.
The "French-made" dish sells for more than four times the cost of this one, making this an excellent buy.

5Excellent Dish for Souffles  Jun 23, 2009
By Phyllis Staff
In my small Texas village, apparently no one but me makes souffles. So when my souffle dish disappeared, I was not able to find a replacement locally. Turns out that was a good thing because I couldn't find a better one than this one.

For starters, the bowl is nice and heavy. The extra weight, compared to the bowl I misplaced, seems to distribute the heat more evenly so my souffles have even texture throughout. The weight also lends itself to a non-tipping, non-traveling bowl. No more struggles to get the souffle mixture into a bowl that just wanders off!

Shipping took several days, so I had to change the menu while I waited for my new bowl, but it was worth the wait.

I highly recommend this dish.

5Impressed with the Quality  Sep 12, 2009
By John Bales
This was my first purchase of a BIA Cordon Bleu product. I was suprised by the high quality of the product, particularly so because it was so reasonably priced. The product is beautifully designed, heavy weight, and has a beautiful, crisp white glaze. I'll be purchasing more BIA cordon Bleu products in the future!

5Perfect souffle dish  Oct 22, 2008
By Jan-Micheal "Farmer's Wife"
This dish is great for serving salads, desserts, casseroles, veggies, etc. in addition to souffles. It also takes up less space on the table than a more horizontally designed dish. The depth makes it spacious yet compact.

4Great little oven-proof bowl  Dec 12, 2010
By ZX2MOM
I've seen prettier ones, but they cost quite a bit more. This isn't particularly white (has a slight grayish tint), or smooth (a couple of rough spots on the outside) ... but it does the job. It makes a good (but not spectacular) presentation for a souffle, and is a work horse for any other use you would have for a 2 Qt. bowl. Nice.
