5PERFECT STEAMER  Dec 11, 2009
By K. Faasse
I enjoy steamed veggies as well as rice. This rice cooker/steamer is just perfect for making rice and veggies at the same time. Baby carrots never tasted better and the broccoli florets stay together and at just the right texture. To top that off you also have perfect rice all at the same time. I would definite recommend this product to anyone who is a rice lover and also likes to steam. Priced reasonably too!

4Ease to use  Jul 22, 2010
By J. Gamez "JDGamez"
I bought the Aroma ARC-737-1G 7-Cup Pot-Style Rice Cooker for a reasonable price. So far, I am very happy with it. Rice and vegetables come out nicely done in less than ten minutes. Once you know the right amount of water to use rice won't stick to it.I have use cookers that cost is tree times more and, I can tell you they are not worth it.
The Aroma ARC-1G7 is lighter and easier to use.

4Love that it steams too!  Nov 30, 2010
By MeShell M
Love that I can cook my broccoli and rice at the same time. I like that this cooker also knows exactly how long to cook the rice. It never burns. If you buy this combo I would recommend that once the cooker has steamed your veggies, take the veggies off the cooker once it has switched from cook to warm. I found that by leaving my broccoli on there in the warm cycle, it became too mushy. I like my broccoli a bit more crisp. So now I take it off after it has cooked. The only thing I didn't like about this combo is that it's not non-stick. The rice sticks to the bottom but isn't a big deal to clean once it has sat in water for a few minutes. Besides, I'm not sure how safe the non-stick coating is for us human beings. I would buy this product for a loved one in a heart beat. It has a great price point as well.

1Too hot  Nov 28, 2010

When cooking the minimum amount of rice, two cups, this rice cooker leaves a significant amount of the rice stuck to the bottom of the pot, not burnt but brown and not edible.

4good...  Nov 10, 2010
By A. Whalen "Car Buff, Gamer, Reader, Music Fan, Dad, Husband, etc....."
It makes good rice quickly. Steamer works great and holds a lot of food. So there's that.

The bad: there's a matte steel rice bucket. I just wish I would have realized that it's not a non-stick pot. Although I've only made relatively small batches so far (1-3 cups), the cooker burns a fair amount of rice on to the bottom, which both wastes the rice, and is very challenging to get off. Soaking it in warm water & dish soap overnight makes that pretty easy. But it's still an awful lot more trouble than just having a non-stick pot.
