~~Easy to use, Quick to heat, I LOVE this Wok...and Fried Rice~~ Sep 13, 2009
By Mommy of Cuties M & Z

First let me say that I normally do not cook, not only do I hate cooking but I am not good at it(I somehow mess up oatmeal)...However, this Wok heats so fast, nothing sticks and even I can make VERY TASTY food in this Wok.
My first meal was fried rice and it turned out so good, better than most Chinese Restaurants. I was surprised at how fast the Wok heated(maybe a minute) I first cooked my chicken, what a breeze that was in this Wok. Then I added all ingredients according to my recipe(found online) and in less than 10 minutes we were eating YUMMY rice. I was actually thinking it was way too easy and the rice would taste terrible but it was easy & tasted great.
I do NOT think this is too big for 2 people. I had this thing pretty full with rice and my husband and I had just enough left over for 1 meal. If this were any smaller I think there would be a problem with stirring your food and having it fall out. In my opinion this size is perfect for 2 people or more.
This is also very easy to clean.
I have nothing bad at all to say about this Wok. We've had it less than 6 months so I can't say how durable it will be but it is a solid piece, seems well made and feels like it will last a long time.
***Over the weekend while running errands we picked up a Quart of Fried Rice & General Tsos Chicken from our local restaurant. What we noticed was how the oil from the Fried Rice had leaked through the paper container and when we emptied the container it was covered in oil & so was our rice. I had never payed any attention before as to how much oil was actually on that Fried Rice. When I make Fried Rice in my Aroma Wok I use either NO oil or just a tiny bit of oil, even if the recipe calls for more oil it still turns out perfect but is WAY healthier & not oily at all. Even if you are just making PLAIN chicken, meaning I have put nothing at all on my chicken(no seasoning), only cut it up into small bite size pieces, turn wok on high, either use a tiny dab of oil(1 tsp) or no oil and I have no idea how it tastes good but it DOES. I did this the other day and my husband asked what I had put on the chicken and he could hardly belive it had nothing on it. This is definately a healthier way to cook Chinese Food or any food!!

Electric wok review Jan 19, 2009

I bought this for my daughter-in-law for xmas. She was delighted with it, we opened it and tried it that day. Excellent heat control from low to high. Appears to be well-built, and can be easily dismantled to put in the Dishwasher. Came with some nice racks too. Too soon to know if it's durable or long lasting, but it sure looked that way. The only reason it's not 5 stars is that it cost a bit more than I thought it should, although it was in the middle of the range of prices for similar products on Amazon and other shopping sites. And if it turns out that it lasts 10 years, then it will have been worth it.

Price and quality Feb 21, 2010
By L. Goodman This wok works well. It is a good basic size, you can either cook alot(for 4+) or less (for 2). It's substantially built, not flimsy, but not too heavy. It sticks to the counter very well when cooking, so no slippage, spills or accidents. It cleans well. The non stick coating is also substantial and stands up to use. I've given it a 4 for all these reasons. The one drawback is trying to put the base back on the cooking bowl after cleaning. It's difficult to get the notches in. HOWEVER, I would just not take it apart. There's really no reason to take it apart, as it cleans so easily together.
I would definately recommmend it, or give as a gift.
