Wonderful Butter Sep 01, 2007
By John Steele This stuff is wonderful. The taste is rich and creamy and, I think, far superior to any of the domestic packaged butters available. As someone of Irish extraction it pains me to say that my family even prefers this to KerryGold --- which is no mean accomplishment. Apparently they won't ship to the southern US in summer so we are waiting for the return of cooler weather so we can get our next "fix."
Try this, you WILL like it.

Delicious !! Feb 06, 2007

It truly is incredible how great this butter tastes. It goes a long way on rolls or homemade bread, so Cryovac half of it and toss it in the freezer. Expensive but well worth it.

Amish Butter - yum, yum! Sep 08, 2010
By E. P. Walker I first tried it in a now defunct specialty supermarket in the Pittsburgh area and was instantly hooked. The only butter that comes close to it in flavor is Cabot butter (no longer sold at retail) or imported Irish butter. Great on artisanal breads, rolls, Challah bread, italian bread or rolls, pasta, maple or cinammon rolls, pancakes, cookies, icing - or on any food or vegetable (especially asparagus, mushrooms or swiss chard!) where the flavor of butter enhances the taste. You will need to adjust the salt in your recipe if it calls for unsalted butter and you are using this one instead.
One must be selective however. The roll butter is more flavorful than the 1 lb block which is more flavorful than the 1 lb sticks. And, certain times of the year the roll butter is very, very salty. I have not experienced this color/taste change with the blocks or the sticks. The saltier rolls are usually distinguished by an obviously darker yellow color. When purchasing on line or by phone ask for the lighter yellow color for the best, freshest flavor.
All of these are available from their website ([....]) which is currently under construction. This is the 'butter of choice' for all of my holiday baking and cooking. It freezes/thaws very well so, you can stock up over the summer months. Just wrap it in plastic wrap and foil first to keep out the odors of other foods and put it in the coldest part of your freezer. Their cheddar cheeses are wonderful as well...

WAY TOO SALTY! Aug 29, 2010
By Rialb Sirrah We just purchase a roll of the Amish style butter from Minerva Co. I agree that is has a great texture and is very creamy, however it is WAY TOO SALTY. It may be great for foods that need both butter and salt (no need for the salt shaker) but forget about enjoying it on a plain piece of toast. I agree with Mary "Mary".

delicious! Jan 06, 2009
By Andrew Boyington This is the best butter I have ever tasted. It arrived quickly and in a styrofoam container with gel packs. It is worth ordering two or three, cutting them down, and freezing some for later. Also makes great gifts.
