Bought this to replace a dead Whirlpool model. When I built my kitchen cabinets, I made the space for the wine cooler based on the size of the Whirlpoo which was thinner than most. So, I need a replacement that was the same size and the Avanti "fit" the bill. I have all stainless appliances and believed the "mirrored" door on the Avanti would blend in well. DO NOT BE FOOLED, the door does have SOME reflective qualities, but this is a black appliance. I decided to keep it because it fits, is very quiet and appears to be efficient. The temp is always steady, where as my Whirlpool would always fluctuate a couple of degrees. It will hold the stated number of bottles, but the way the racks are connected to the sides seems a little cheap, just molded slots in the plastic side, no real retainers. Overall pleased given the price and my space requirements.
